To prepare for our seminars, read the linked articles and annotate them for the following:
- unfamiliar terms (vocabulary)
- important points (analysis with your comments)
- questions (for clarification and for discussion)
Our initial seminars will involve becoming more skilled leaders and participants; later, students will select the subject matter and drive the discussions. When you arrive, you'll have 3-5 minutes to review the readings and your notes. Be ready to then dig into a deep discussion of the topics. Be ready to share your thoughts, connections, and questions with the group, and to have your own ideas questioned by others as we all seek a deeper understanding of the topic.
